ETA2: I found the whole thing! It's from some Chinese TV show. This shows Behind the Scenes for the Making of and then the 'movie' itself (before going back to the studio for more chat). Movie by itself starts at 5:40, but here is the entire thing:

added at the end for a happy ending. Which does appear to be how it's meant to end, at some point I might find the whole thing. But there are limits to how many youtube searches I can do in a day...
