Fandom strikes again

Me planning: In the summer holidays I shall work on my novel!

I saw people have ~emotions~ about it on Tumblr, figured that it looked fun and entertaining and then... BAM. Hooked. It is so good. I am working on a 'reasons you should watch' post, but it just keeps growing. /o\

the books tell the whole story, and the first (ONLY!) season tell the story of the first two books. It is pretty self-contained and so good, but it could have been so much more with a little support of Netflix.

I will never understand how Netflix functions. Am still sad about Shadow and Bone. :(

The whole of the Dead Boy Detectives fandom is fervently praying that the show is renewed, because they know what Netflix is like.

ETA: every time on DBD that someone comments negatively about Monty being a Crow, I have to do a complicated mental flip to remind myself why this is a bad thing.

At least the Umbrella Academy got a chance for a proper finish...

They finally got up to the Ice Court Heist, the thing literally the entire fandom was waiting for with baited breath, and then Netflix went ' . . . naaaaahhh.'

I'm pretty sure that's the legal definition of hating your viewers.

They're honestly the worst and should not be trusted with anything nice. But DBD at least is a very satisfying and complete season in itself if it never gets another.

It's so goooood! It starts all fun and engaging and kinda like a mix between Buffy & The Sandman (Scooby Gang, but in Sandman world) and then sucks you in and captures your heart. ♥
